Branded workwear for your business
Branded workwear does two jobs: it makes your team easy to recognise, and it puts your business name in front of every customer they meet. This guide walks through how to plan it for a small business, from choosing garments for each role to keeping re-orders consistent a year later.
Start with the roles, not the catalogue
- On the tools or on site: work polos, drill work shirts and, where the site requires it, hi-vis.
- Customer-facing and office: company polo shirts, business shirts and knitwear.
- Hospitality and retail: tees or polos with aprons.
- Cold months: hoodies, jumpers and jackets in the same colour family.
Keep the brand consistent
Pick one or two garment colours that sit well with your logo and use them across every item. Keep the logo in the same position on everything, usually left chest, and put the larger version, website or phone number on the back. Most brands we stock (JB's Wear, Biz Collection, Syzmik, AS Colour, Winning Spirit and others) offer matching men's and women's cuts, so the whole team looks the same.
Embroidery or print
Embroidery is the hard-wearing choice for chest logos on polos, shirts, jackets and knitwear: $12 per garment for a front logo, $20 for a back logo and a one-off $59 setup per logo, all + GST. DTF printing suits large back logos, full-colour artwork and lightweight tees. Both are done in Australia. See our embroidery page for details.
Your logo file
A vector file (PDF, SVG, AI or EPS) gives the cleanest result. A large PNG also works. We send a free mock-up and then a measured proof within 1–3 business days, and nothing is made until you approve it.
Budget and quantity
The minimum is 5 decorated garments. For a fixed price with printing and delivery included, our uniform deals start at 5 polos with your logo front and back for $210 + GST. To mix garments for different roles, use business uniform packages. Orders are despatched in 1–2 weeks from artwork approval.
Plan for new starters
We keep your approved artwork on file, so re-orders match the first batch. Staying with core colours that brands carry year-round makes it easier to top up later.
Common questions
Can branded workwear be a tax deduction?
Some work clothing can be, depending on the item and your circumstances. Check the ATO's guidance or ask your accountant; we can't give tax advice.
Can different staff have different garments?
Yes. One proof can cover several garment types with the same logo.
Do you deliver outside Melbourne?
Yes, Australia-wide. Deals include free delivery.
